I'll Only Ever Give My All
When someone encounters the Lord, they make a radical change to their lifestyle due to a radical change of their heart. However, over time we do what we like to call 'finding a balance' in our life. In other words we find a way to live to the world and God at the same time and be okay with it. This is the right way to live as a Christian right? You don't want to offend anybody by actually living out what you believe or anything. Except in reality, this is just our way of deciding what compromise we think is okay in our lives. It's our way of justifying the parts of ourself that is not of Christ. And that should not be the way that the Church operates. Jesus said that we cannot live for 2 masters because we will grow to hate one and love the other (Luke16:13). So why are we convinced that we know better and we are more mature than the people back in those days and are now capable of living for the God and still being a part of this world. We aren't called to be a part of this world! We are called to consecrate ourselves for the Lord's purpose, to know Him, love Him, and live for Him. I'm recently discovering how much the Church today really does justify their friendship with the world by calling it a balanced lifestyle. We think that we need to become 'mature' in our faith and learn how to keep in under control. But is that the type of life that we want? I know it's not the life that I want. In James 4:4 it says that friendship with the world is enmity towards God. I definitely don't want to be an enemy of my God. I am not going to accept even small compromises in my life that conflict with my relationship with my Savior. I am nothing with out Him. "Who gave him charge over the earth, and who laid on him the whole world? If he should set his heart to it and gather to himself his spirit and his breath, all flesh would perish together, and man would return to dust." -Job 34:13-15 (ESV) I will live only for Him because it is only by Him that I live.

A Little About The Honor Academy =)
Let's start with the basics. I am here at the Honor Academy, an internship in Garden Valley, TX, whose heartbeat is to provoke a young generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and to take His life-giving message to the ends of the Earth. Throughout the year I have been inspired to seek the Lord with everything that I am. I have realized my great need for Him and His presence in my life and come to know that I cannot do anything without Him. This has been a challenging, but very rewarding year thus far. I am so thankful for the time that I have had and still have at Teen Mania. It has made me into a woman that desires more of God and I have dedicated my life to seeking Him and His heart in order to fulfill His plan in the world.
During my year here, I have a Ministry Placement where I work in the ministry 31 hours a week to help advance the Kingdom of God. I work in the finance department with some of the best people that I have ever met. They have had a great impact on my life and I know that God definitely had His hand in placing me in this position this year. I am planning on staying a 2nd year as a Management Associate (MA) in the finance department. It will be an amazing opportunity to grow in leadership and work experience, as well as surrounding myself with others who are passionate about the Lord.
Also, I am placed in a core. My core is only 1 room so I have 5 Wonderful roommates! These women amaze me with their desire to seek after the Lord. I love the passion that they have! My core's name is Simply Love. Our motto is that We simply love Jesus and walk away from anything that hinders that love. Throughout this year my Core Advisor (CA), Courtney, has led us in different object lessons to teach us what it truly means to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. She has shown us what it means to count the cost and pursue Christ above everything else in this world.
Here is a little bit about my life here at the Honor Academy. I plan to share often about what I am up to and how the Lord is moving in my life. I hope you enjoy! =)
